Naturopathic Services

What is Naturopathic Medicine?

Naturopathic medicine is a primary health care system that combines scientific knowledge and diagnostics with traditional and natural forms of medicine. A naturopathic doctor or naturopath (ND) provides naturopathic services that are complementary to conventional medicine.

The naturopathic philosophy is to stimulate the healing power of the body and treat the underlying root cause of disease, whether the condition is acute or chronic. Dr. Natalie Bozinovski ND., MSc. will focus on all areas of health (physiology, biochemistry, lifestyle factors, hormone health, nutrient status, inflammation, personal and family health history) to determine the cause of imbalance leading to your symptoms. Then, using a variety of modalities, she will access diverse disciplines to develop the most effective and individualized treatment approach.

Doctor as Teacher

Educating and supporting patients on personal health management is an important role for naturopathic doctors. They empower patients to take responsibility for their own health. They also acknowledge the therapeutic value inherent in the doctor-patient relationship.

Treat the Whole Person

This is a holistic concept that recognizes the body as an integrated whole. Naturopathic doctors treat the patient, not the disease. A naturopathic assessment addresses the nutritional status, lifestyle, family history, physical, mental, emotional, genetic, environmental and social factors in a person’s life.

Prevention

Naturopathic doctors promote a focus on overall health, wellness and disease prevention.

Patients can benefit from naturopathic medicine whether dealing with severe chronic health conditions or looking to optimize wellbeing and maintain long-term health.
